About Us
The EliHealth Initiative is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit dedicated to transforming pelvic health and advancing health equity. Inspired by the success of Elitone – a clinically proven solution for urinary incontinence – we aim to restore women’s health, dignity and confidence by providing access to pelvic health treatments to the underserved.
The Issue
Urinary incontinence is one of the most prevalent yet under-addressed women’s health issues, impacting 1 in 3 women. The condition leads to significant physical, emotional, and financial burdens costing the U.S. healthcare system $25 billion annually, with untreated cases worsening over time. Women resort to decreased activity, intimacy avoidance, poor sleep, increased urinary tract infections, and costly management with pads.
Clinical care is often costly with surgery, expensive medications, and time-consuming office visits. Although FDA-cleared treatments like Elitone are more affordable and are covered by Medicare, high deductibles, copays, and out-of-pocket costs often prevent women from accessing care.
Many women—particularly in disadvantaged communities—delay seeking treatment for pelvic health conditions until symptoms worsen, leading to reduced quality of life, higher healthcare costs, and more complex care needs.
Our Mission
The EliHealth Initiative aims to improve women’s health, via access to life-changing pelvic floor treatment to the underserved. With ongoing partnerships, we aim to provide impactful solutions by:
- Expanding pelvic health education
- Supporting access to insurance coverage (telehealth or copay costs)
- Refurbishing Elitone devices under strict ISO13485 medical quality controls and providing new GelPads
